Sam Foti : A successful corporate leader

The life and times of Sam Foti can provide them with an excellent resource. He was the person that was not even interested in the financial industry in the start and pursued law degree. He, however, changed his mind and returned to the realm of businesses and investments.
Samuel J. Foti joined the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company after completing his Masters Degree in Finance and Investments from the University of Pennsylvania in 1977. In 1988, he was a vice president of the company and on the course of promotion but instead opted for The MONY Group. By dint of his sheer hard work, he earned the position of President and Chief Operating Officer in 1994. He started the modernization campaign and introduced computerized working procedures. A revamping of sales force resulted in costs savings and financial well-being of the company.
Samuel Foti ultimately headed the negotiations for the company’s $60 million acquisition with AXA Financial in 2004. He oversaw the business integration of MONY’s with AXA; he was also a part of workforce realignment and expansion within the parent group’s business.
